• Work with individual teachers to improve their skills
• Plan and conduct school-based planning and inquiry groups.
• Develop a learning community at your school.
• Districts will ensure that adequate release time is provided for STLs

Change Agent for Groups of Teachers

• Design/deliver workshops
• Lead study groups
• Facilitate meetings among departments are grade levels

Vanguard for Reform

• Create awareness of the reform agenda
• Provide existence proof of reform work
• Engage teachers in discussions about the reform agenda
• Do demonstration lessons to show that materials work with teachers’ students
